The well-known flour industry "Mills of Thrace I. Uzounopoulos S.A." trusts the RECOM REPOWER for for the integrated implementation of an innovative photovoltaic project.
25 September 2024 - RECOM REPOWER, in cooperation with the company Mili Thrace I. Uzounopoulos S.A., successfully completed the installation of the largest photovoltaic industrial net-metering system with zero injection in Greece, with a total power of 1.2 MW. Thrace Mills, a company with over 100 years of experience in flour production, chose RECOM Repower as a reliable partner for the implementation of a photovoltaic project that meets its energy needs, reinforcing its vision for "green growth".
In this particular project, Mili Thrace entrusted RECOM REPOWER to undertake all the procedures for the licensing, study, design, construction and management of the photovoltaic system.
The installation required 1,816 photovoltaic panels from the Recom Panther 660Wp series with Half-Cut technology and 10 Recom Zeus 100kW three-phase inverters equipped with multiple MPPTs. The system's new intelligent built-in MPPT algorithm provides total control of the PV Generator, maximising performance over the lifetime of the installation.
The system offers over 99% efficiency, with IP66 protection, maintaining low starting voltage and extremely wide MPPT voltage range. In addition, Type II SPD protection for AC and DC reduces BOS costs by offering lightning protection. The Recom Smart Monitoring App enables real-time performance monitoring, offering significant convenience to both installers and customers.
The Recom Panther 660Wp photovoltaic panels have an efficiency of 21.25%, making them an ideal choice for a quick return on investment. The Linear Efficiency Warranty guarantees a minimum of up to 84.95% up to the end of the 30th year. They also prove highly efficient in extreme heat and low solar radiation intensity conditions.
The aim of the project is to harness solar energy and convert it into electricity through environmentally friendly photovoltaic systems.
